Optical Detector Calibration

We calibrate many types of Semiconductor Optical Detector at two service price levels: ISO9001 or ISO/IEC 17025 

  • We check the cleanliness of the optical detector. If we find a performance problem with the received detector, we will let you know.
  • We test calibration accuracy. You can also ask for a linearity test.
  • We usually use a ceramic fiber optic connector for calibration, ask if you want some other condition there.
  • We also have a HeNe laser for spot calibration at about 1 mW
  • We have a few lasers / LEDS for other discrete wavelengths
  • Or we can dial-a-wavelength at a low power level of about -30 dBm
  • The sensor needs to be large enough to aim a fiber optic or free space beam into it, 0.5 mm dia or larger is good
  • We have NATA traceability for optical power calibration from 350 - 1650 nm
  • We comply with the latest power meter calibration standards¬†
  • We can perform practical broadband calibration
